Privacy policy summary

The app stores some draft and preference data in the browser using localStorage. This includes script drafts, interface settings, and user-facing preference state so the tool can feel consistent between visits without a full sign-in.

The site may also use sessionStorage for temporary UI state such as install prompts or other short-lived browser interactions. These are not replacement database storage systems; they are browser-only convenience layers.

When a user signs in with Google, the app uses NextAuth and stores basic account and session data needed for authentication, saved scripts, and plan status checks. The project also keeps user records in MongoDB for account-related features such as saved scripts and premium state.

Saved scripts associated with a signed-in account are intended to remain available to that user while the account is active. The app does not claim to provide special encrypted storage beyond the normal server and database setup used by the product.

Camera and microphone permissions are requested only when a user chooses to use recording or speech-assisted features that depend on browser access. Basic script editing and fixed-speed prompting do not require those permissions.

Recording is handled in the browser for preview and download. The app can generate a recording using the page’s media workflow, but users are responsible for the content they record and the permissions they grant on their own device and browser.

The site uses analytics and advertising services, including Google Tag Manager and AdSense-related code, to understand site usage and support the service. These services may use cookies or similar browser storage, and they may collect standard technical and interaction data such as page views, device type, approximate location, and session-level metrics.

Advertising is used to support the service, and the user experience is designed to keep ads separate from the main teleprompter workflow. Ads should not prevent access to the product, support pages, or policy pages.

This project uses Google sign-in, analytics, advertising tags, and MongoDB-backed user and script data. Payment and premium access flows may also involve subscription services for checkout and verification. These services may enforce their own policies and data practices outside the direct control of this site.

The site does not provide a legal guarantee that all third-party providers will use only limited data or will never retain metadata; users should review those providers’ policies where needed.

Users can clear their browser storage in the browser settings for local drafts and preferences. Users may also deny camera or microphone permission if they only want to use the teleprompter as a script display without recording or voice-based features.
